Since I was young I have always loved the power of storytelling. I learned the way hearts were captivated and and lives were changed by the telling of one's adventure, downfall, struggle, achievements, you name it.
I didn't realise that by noticing every detail of my surrounding that I was able to retell a memory in such a way that people encouraged me to always tell stories. I wanted to take this further by not just telling the story audible but visually. It is a great time to be able to control the eye of the viewer and literally place a stranger into the shoes of someone with a complete different culture. In a way, capturing, brings us closer. By showing everyone's common search for joy and similar unpaved paths I have learned that we really aren't so different after all.
Psalms 46:10 says "Be still and know that I am God" Another way of recognizing that God is in control and that the more we try to control everything the less we let life happen organically. I believe there is a profound beauty in being still. It is an action of trusting, of appreciating, of loving. I believe that as we continue to be still, the more we allow the miracles right in front of us to blossom.
